Zelda: The Minish Cap 100% FAQ What do you have to get for 100%? 100% includes all heart pieces and heart containers, all inventory items, biggest bomb bag, biggest quiver, biggest wallet, obtaining all Tiger Scrolls, learning all advanced techniques, collecting all Joy Butterflies and getting the Golden Tingle Statue (all kinstone fusions). Do you have to get the figurines as well? I do. I need them to get a heart piece. :( How long does it take to get all the figurines? Since there's an RNG manipulation for the figurines, they "only" take about 35 minutes to get (unless I fail the manipulation). How does the RNG manipulation work? If you s+q, you always start with the same RNG value, so by using a certain movement path to get into the figurine house, the first figurine will always be Gleerock. Since there is nothing besides Link in the room that can change the RNG, the next figurines will also always be the same. The first few figurines after Gleerock will be new ones, but after a certain amount the game wants to give you one you already have. By slashing the sword or using the boots now, the RNG changes, resulting in a new figurine instead of one you already have. Sometimes one sword slash isn't enough, so you might see me slash the sword ~5 times. Sometimes sword slashes are combined with boots usages to change RNG more quickly (boots advance RNG 3x3 times, sword only 1 per slash). Who do you have to fuse with? There are a quite a few NPCs who always want to fuse with you and always need the same kinstone piece. However, there are also some NPCs who only sometimes want to fuse with you and need a different kinstone piece almost every time. These fusions are called shared and fickle fusions. Since I'm really bad at explaining, I'll just steal the explanation from Kirby's pastebin: "Shared Fusions are a list of fusions shared randomly among several fusers. So when one fuses with a shared fuser, the resulting fusion will be random from the list of shared fusions. Due to the randomness of this, it's important to get as many shared fusers as possible throughout the run. Fortunately, the mt crenel hermit will always do up to 5 shared fusions and is not fickle, so missing a few can be compensated by doing all of them with the hermit, as long as no more than 5 shared fusions are missed. Fickle Fusers are characters that have a random chance to have a desire to fuse with you or not. All fickle fusers are (fortunately) also shared fusers so it is not necessary to hit every fickle fuser possible. The exception is the teacher Tina, she is the only fickle fuser that does not perform a shared fusion. This does NOT mean all shared fusers are fickle fusers; some fusers that always want to fuse are also shared." (from KirbymastaH's 100% route pastebin (http://pastebin.com/iZawEWG6)) Where do you get the Kinstones for all the fusions? There's a glitch that allows us to get as many green Kinstones as we want, basically. Using the glitch, we usually also get most (sometimes all) the blue Kinstones for the entire run as well as a few red Kinstones. The missing red Kinstones are gotten from chests. How does the glitch work? First, we get the Ocarina Glitch which allows us to walk on water. With that, we can enter some caves without doing the fusion first. If you exit the cave now, you will fall into the water, since you don't have the Flippers at this point in the game. I'm assuming the game doesn't really know where to spawn Link since he hasn't touched any ground on the map yet, so it spawns him on a certain tile (the ground inside of the caves are somewhat connected to the tiles outside of the map, there are multiple ways of changing the tile you spawn on). By entering the fairy fountain, the game will respawn Link right at the entrance of Hyrule Town. Now, Link is in a pretty weird state, since the game wanted to respawn him inside the cave, but it couldn't since he's not in there anymore (the map actually says he's on Mt. Crenel which isn't true). I'm not really sure why, but if you slash rocks/pots/bushes etc. while being in this state, they don't disappear, allowing you to slash grass infinitely. Spamming sword slashes now will result in a lot of item drops and if you combine this with a picolyte, it gets ridiculous pretty fast. Does the new glitch (Boss Door Clipping) save time in 100%? It does indeed, but only about 1 minute in Palace of Winds. It almost saves another minute in Temple of Droplets, but it just barely doesn't work out because of a non-existent ledge. What's WR?
