Banjo-Tooie Cheato% Route - last updated: 2/19/2015 ----- Special note: the Japanese version of Banjo-Tooie is faster for Cheato% because you can skip the cutscene coming out of Bottles' house. Some small time might also be saved from text. Japanese saves at least 10 seconds compared to NTSC-U. ----- [CHEATO% DEFINITIONS] Beat the game as fast as possible while using Cheato cheat codes. The Delayed Cutscene Warp is allowed in Cheato%. Timing starts when selecting an empty file and ends when you deal the final hit to Hag 1. Note that Jinjos are not collected in Cheato% so Jinjo manipulation isn't even a thing for the category. The two cheats used are: CHEATO JIGGYWIGGYSPECIAL CHEATO SUPERBANJO You can use other cheats if desired but know that they will lose you time. [ROUTE] - This route is written in a way that assumes the reader knows the game and it may not be detailed enough for those coming into the game blind. Spiral Mountain ~~ Start a new file to start the run Klungo cutscene skip Get the Turbo Trainers then 1 Egg Nest then enter the tunnel Beat Klungo 1 (green is the fastest potion color to get here) Exit and go to Jinjo Village ~~ Go left to Jingaling for a Jiggy [1/1] After the cutscene go straight into Bottles' House ~~ Head left until you reach Goggles, the kid holding the Donkey Kong doll Talk to the kid to receive the Amaze-O-Gaze Glasses Head back and go right then out the exit to the Wooded Hollow ~~ Go straight and activate the Jamjars warp silo Go to Jiggywiggy and solve the puzzle to open Mayahem Temple Exit then enter Mayahem Temple ~~ Activate the Warp Pad Collect the first 2 Note Nests [10/315] then cut right skipping the other 2 in the line Grab the other Notes [30/315] after the Mumbo Pad then learn Egg Aim Continue for 4 more Note Nests [50/315] then turn right for 3 more [65/315] Go to the left of Targitzan's Temple to learn Breegull Blaster Turn back and head towards Mumbo's Don't activate the Warp Pad, get the Notes [70/315] then go in Get the Glowbo then speak to Mumbo and take him out of the skull Head left, go around the back of Targitzan's Temple to get the Treble Clef [90/315] Jump down in front of the sign to skip the fall damage Use the Mumbo Pad to activate the Golden Goliath Collect the 2 Note Nests [100/315] you skipped earlier then go to Jade Snake Grove Go right and activate the Warp Pad near Wumba's Now go left towards the Code Chamber and kick the door open Save & quit ~ Start the file again, activate and use the Jinjo Village silo then go back to Mayahem Temple Warp near Wumba Go left to the stairs then jump into the left torch and take your health down to 1 Go into the Code Chamber and enter the cheats then activate them Death-warp on one of those ****ing cats and leave Mayahem Temple ~ Go left and backflip then Beak Buster up to the entrance that takes you to the Plateau ~~ Up the slope then activate the silo Jump back to the sign then Feather Flap + Beak Buster to get up to the Notes [110/315] Drop down then get the Notes [120/315] under the hive Learn Fire Eggs then go into Glitter Gulch Mine ~~ Get the Turbo Trainers from a box on the left then activate the Warp Pad Go right and get the Glowbo on the glitter pile Go near the Prospector's Hut and get the 3 Note Nests [135/315] on the bottom Go all the way to Mumbo's Skull and get the 3 Note Nests [150/315] Go back the way you came and get the 2 upper Note Nests [160/315] near the Hut Now get the 4 Notes Nests [180/315] on the pile near the Crushing Shed Turn back and go into Wumba's Wigwam Transform then use the Warp Pad and warp to the entrance Go left and go into the Fuel Depot Get the Notes [190/315] on the right then blow up the rocks to free the UFO Get the Notes [200/315] on the left Save & quit ~ Start the file again, get the Treble Clef [220/315] on the red house with a backflip + Beak Buster ~ Use the silo and go back to the Plateau ~ Shoot the fire switch then go to Pine Grove ~~ Get the Notes [230/315] in the log to the right Learn Grenade Eggs then go to WitchyWorld ~~ Go right and use a Grenade on the fence to break it open Use the Spring Pad to get the Notes [240/315] on top the fence Get the Notes [245/315] behind the Slot Machine that's in front of the Big Top Tent Go right for the Notes [250/315] then get another Nest [255/315] at the 2nd Slot Machine Go to the Wild West area and get both Note Nests [265/315] behind the doors Go back and get another Note Nest [270/315] in front of the Fri stand Get the Notes [275/315] behind the 3rd Slot Machine Get the Notes [280/315] in front of the Fortuneteller Tent Get the Notes [285/315] behind the 4th Slot Machine near the Space Zone Get the 2 Note Nests [295/315] in front of the Dodgem Dome Stand on the top of the Dodgem entrance between the entrance and pole you can climb Go into first person and zoom in on where the switch is that'll free the UFO from GGM Shoot a Grenade while zoomed in to hit the switch Hard reset your N64 once the game has auto-saved during the cutscene **The game auto-saves about 1.2 seconds after the screen freezes during the door opening cutscene. If you want to be safe you should reset once the screen transitions to GGM.** ~ DO NOT start the file again just yet, select Replay and scroll down to the Cinema Replay ~ Select Credits, then mash B to skip the cutscene and exit back out to the main menu ~ Now start the file you've been playing on again ~ Use the silo and warp to the Plateau then go in Glitter Gulch Mine ~ Go to the Fuel Depot to enter Cauldron Keep (thanks, DCW!) ~~ Mash B to skip the cutscene, press B to skip the next one then skip the text Go right and out the exit Go right and activate the Warp Pad near the final boss Use Beak Buster invincibility to drop all the way down to the lower Warp Pad Activate it then exit to the Quagmire ~~ Go right and hit the Spring Pad switch Jump down and activate the silo Backflip + Beak Buster to get to the Wasteland ~~ Go toward the Cloud Cuckooland entrance for the Notes [305/315] Turn back around and get the final Notes [315/315] near the Clockwork silo Learn Clockwork Kazooie Eggs Use the warp silo to warp back to the Quagmire ~ Use the Spring Pad and climb back up and enter Cauldron Keep ~ Warp back up and enter the final area to fight Hag 1 Beat Hag 1 You did it!
