Just wanted to put my thoughts in a paste, and just in time for PBM. Success will always be impossible to define for other people, but I'd like to use the definition of "the accomplishment of an aim or purpose" as how I view it. Being successful on Twitch has a lot of things that goes along with it. Some of those things, for example, include but are not limited to: consistency, putting in a lot of hard work (streaming a few hours every day for 3-5 days a week), networking, the desire to grow, motivation to keep coming up with new content, etc. There are plenty of people that have put in an unbelievable amount of time and effort into making their stream into a success on Twitch, and I am amazed at how much some people have done and continue to do to maintain their success. However, there is also a theme of being "lucky", or being in the right place at the right time in order to gain this success. I do think there are plenty of people who have benefited greatly from being "lucky", and I'm glad that some of the ones who were fortunate enough to have their breakthrough are maintaining their vast success. Some people do not end up maintaining that success, but that just happens when the effort is lost in the process. I really don't mean to take away from anyone's success with that statement either! There are so many different factors that even I don't take into consideration when talking about success of a stream, and "luck" is not something I'd try to show as to why people have maintained their success. Ultimately, I think that it is not easy, and it takes time and effort. I do agree that anyone can be successful with streaming in their own eyes if they put their time and effort into it. For instance, when I can turn on my stream and talk to people who enjoy listening to me be an idiot, that's something I consider successful. I would love to create more content for whoever enjoys it, and I will continue to do that in hopes that I will continue to grow. Even in the past year(maybe 7-8 months is more accurate) I have seen stream growth that is beyond believable to myself, and I have a lot of things to thank for that. I do consider myself pretty lucky with regards to streaming and everything that comes with it. I've made so many friendships with people I consider to be really good friends, and I hope to never take that too lightly. Maybe one day my stream will be way more popular than it is now, and I'm willing to put the time and effort in for that to happen, but for now it's great to see what has happened over the past year. I guess really all you have to do is not give up, and keep trying. I have known a lot of people who easily get discouraged when attempting to get to a point where they feel successful in multiple facets of life (and no I don't mean to get into social anxiety/depression topic). Some have given up, but some stuck through until they did find their success, and I have never seen someone more happy than with their self-found success after putting in so much time and effort. When it comes down to it, I just hope that everyone finds a way to feel successful. This turned out to be a lot more than I originally intended, but that's cool too. Thanks for reading, happy Monday, have a tune https://youtu.be/IPTzCS7caco?t=269
