Flipperless????? Indeed, ToadsWoot found a new skip in Palace of Winds that uses the lantern (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GTVSsYuQCX8), and after some testing, we found out that the Magical Boomerang works as well. Since you can get the Magical Boomerang before Temple of Droplets, we can get it instead of the Flippers. So if you get the Magical Boomerang instead of the Flippers, does it even save time? It does, yes, the Flipperless Route should save about 2:20 minutes (only rough timing, +- 20 seconds probably) if everything goes smoothly. However, the route requires two House Ocarina Glitches, which are easy to mess up. If you do mess up, you will have to soft reset, which isn't a very big deal, but messing up multiple times will cost a lot of time. Another time save comes from Temple of Droplets, as we now use a combination of Boss Door Clipping and Ocarina Glitch to get through the dungeon very quickly (this is what saves a lot of time: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tn3H3F_ZL08) How much faster will everything be then? The skip in Palace of Winds saves about 3 minutes for RTA (~2:20 for the TAS), so we can expect a time save of 5 minutes overall. The Flipperless Route will probably look like this: Ocarina Fly to South Hyrule Field Fuse with Tingle Enter Hyrule Town from South S+Q for House OG S+Q after Bracelets Fly to Lake Hylia for 2 Tingle Brother fusions Fly to Hyrule Town for Stranger fusion, leave through West exit Left cave for last tingle Brother fusion Fly to Hyrule Town for Boomerang Fly to Lake Hylia House OG to ToD FAQ copied from toadswoot
