How do you speedrun this game?
The main goal of any% is high score point pressing. Certain areas are behind point walls that require the runner to take nearly frame and pixel perfect pictures to get the most points, while also negotiating lag reduction and cart movement speeds, making it a very technical run. The Pokémon Snap speedrun has changed drastically in the last year. With a lot of new strats to optimize points and timesave, it is now a more interesting run than ever.

Isn't this an autoscroller?
More like a semi-autoscroller. By looking forward, you go fast, by looking backwards, you go slow. By holding Z, you can maintain your speed/direction which helps for sophisticated movement parts.

Why do you want to get perfect pictures?
You want to have 130'000 points after cave split which would lead to a "0 picture valley". Every picture you have to take in valley in order to reach 130'000 makes you lose around 4 seconds, basically killing the run. At this point, you need to have very optimized pictures and mustn't fuck up any of them. We put all the best pictures gotten with RTA viable strats on a spreadsheet: https://goo.gl/YWPW7l
