With Ultra Hammer Early being recently found, I believe this game has a lot more to offer. Ultra Hammer Early was thought to be impossible for years. Here is a list of information that might inform you and help us to lead to more discoveries. 1. Twilight Town without Yoshi This is what I am most interested in, as it effectively cuts out all of the major RNG in the run aside from Mega Rush. Basically, just clear the gap from the middle platform to the left where you can enter the Twilight Town pipe. If this were possible, you could skip all the rank fights in Chapter 3, and you would only have to fight Grubba. Inside Chapter 4, Yoshi is not needed at any point, and you get him back after beating Doopliss 2. He is green since he took 0 minutes to hatch and has the default name. You can not beat the Excess Express without Vivian and you can not beat Riverside without Tube Mode, so getting the Ultra Boots first is not an option. 2. Palace Skip In Chapter 8 in the room before Gloomtail (with the 2 phantom embers), there is a loading zone underneath the map that takes you to the room with the last key in it. With levitation, I am able to stand on the back seam and fall to this loading zone. Unfortunately without this cheat, there is no known way to get there. If this were possible, we could skip Gloomtail, The Riddle Tower, Shadow Siren Skip and Wooden Wheel Skip. This would also skip the need for the Boat ability, since that is only used to get to/from The Riddle Tower, which means Pirate's Grotto could be skipped entirely. 3. A way to get the Garnet Star (6) without needing Ultra Boots If getting up to the switch in Poshley Sanctum were possible without using the poles, the only other point in the run where you have to use Spring Jump is in Chapter 8 to reach a pole (room before wooden wheel). Combined with Palace skip (or another way to bypass this 1 pole), this would eliminate the need for the Ultra Boots and allow you to skip the entirety of The Excess Express and Riverside Station. 4. Teleporter Room Early This place is basically Fort Knox, and the only currently known way to get inside is through the floor, which is not possible as of now without cheats. If this were possible on the Japanese version of the game, you can actually access the elevators inside the X-Naut Fortress, allowing you to skip the entire General White Hunt, the Moon, and the Elite X-Naut fight upon entering the fortress. English verison does not allow you to use the elevators without the card keys, meaning you would not be able to finish the fortress. 5. Chapter 5/Bobbery Skip This is a lot less likely since there are so many other things you would have to find to be able to do this. Bobbery is required in the following places: -Breaking the wall inside Pirate's Grotto to get the Boat ability -Breaking the wall to get to Chet Rippo -Talking to the mayor in Fahr Outpost to start the General White Hunt -Breaking the rock on the moon to get to X-Naut Fortress -Hitting the switch to start the conveyor belt in the X-Naut Fortress -2F Top Right room in Riddle Tower -Switch before Wooden Wheel With Palace Skip, Teleporter Early, and re-routing to not use Danger Mario, the only thing getting in the way is the switch for the conveyor belt in the X-Naut Fortress. This is pretty much a long-shot, but cutting out all of Chapter 5 would save a significant amount of time and cut out 2 of the hardest areas in the game. These are just a few ideas I have that would save significant time and shorten this run and make it more interesting. Some other ideas to keep in mind: *You get Goombella, Koops, Flurrie, Yoshi and Vivian automatically after Doopliss 2, even if you had skipped them entirely beforehand. *You only need the 7th crystal star to open The Thousand-Year Door, so: Chapter 7 requirements: Vivian - conveyor belt Bobbery - General White Hunt, moon rock, conveyor belt switch Paper Mode - Conveyor belt Ultra Hammer - to reach Fahr Outpost Chapter 8 requirements: Yoshi - several areas Flurrie - several areas Bobbery - Riddle Tower, switch before wooden wheel Plane Mode - last room before Grodus Paper Mode - Wooden Wheel Skip Boat Mode - travel to/from Riddle Tower Ultra Hammer - several areas Super Boots - the floor panel after Wooden Wheel Skip Ultra Boots - a single pole deep in the palace Unfortunately you need most things right now to complete the game, but if more discoveries are made, this might change.
